Green Design of the Roof
General Membrane's attention for environment and its interest in sustainable design led the Company to be certified UNI EN ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System), UNI EN ISO 14021 (Self-declared Environmental Claim), UNI EN ISO 14064 (Carbon Footprint), to become member of the U.S. Green Building Council in 2012 and to draw up a document which identifies General Membrane's systems and products capable to contribute to confer Leed credits (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).
General Membrane's proposals for Green design are:
-
General Solar PV System: sistema impermeabile fotovoltaico flessibile architettonicamente integrato.
-
General Fix System: hooking system for traditional photovoltaic modules.
-
Cool Roof Systems for fighting the Heat Islands phenomenon: the Reflect Protection products range has been specifically studied to decrease roofings temperature, increasing in that way their service life and fostering photovoltaic systems installation.
-
Technical Specifications for realising green roofs, based on the use of antiroots membranes.
-
Ecofriendly product range: bitumen polymer waterproofing membranes and materials for thermal insulation characterised by high recycled content, supplied with self-declared environmental claim according to UNI EN ISO 14021.
